30PMFor more details or to apply, please contact us at Essential Duties and Responsibilities Follow instructions from Shift Lead, Lead Prep, Kitchen Supervisor, or Kitchen Manager.
Adhere to all standard operating procedures for prep equipment.
Execute proper batching procedures, including correct weighing and measuring techniques.
Ensure accurate tag labeling and storage procedures are followed for all food and ingredient containers.
Maintain a clear understanding of basic math and reading skills.
Recognize the quality attributes of food ingredients, reporting any issues promptly.
Perform various tasks, such as prepping onions, carrots, spinach, cheeses, canned goods, and more.
Comply with Amy's Kitchen Incemployee handbook, safety manual, and GMP booklet.
Report mechanical problems to the relevant authorities.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Prep Lead or Assistant Supervisor, as dictated by the production schedule.
Regular attendance is required, and overtime may be necessary during peak seasons or based on company needsIt is the responsibility of all employees to uphold the mission of the Amy's Food Safety and Quality PolicyThis includes following all Food Safety and Sustainability programs and participating in all required training Qualifications and Skills Education and
Experience:
Less than a high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills:
Successful completion of math and literacy tests.
Language Skills:
Ability to read a limited number of two and three-syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers.
Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and perform basic operations using units of American money, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions and handle standardized situations with occasional or no variables.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Certified in batch sheet usage.
Physical Demands:
The role occasionally requires standing, walking, using hands for various tasks, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, hearing, and tasting or smelling.
The ability to push, pull, lift, and move items weighing 50-65 pounds, with team lifting of over 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision.
Work Environment:
The work environment may occasionally expose employees to wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, and extreme cold.
The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
The position demands constant movement, reaching, stretching, lifting, pulling, pushing, and rapid movements under wet conditions.
