Southeastern Idaho Public Health has a limited service opening for
Health Education Specialist Senior
Length of limited service appointments are determined by the availability of funds such as grants and/or timeframes such as pilot projects or program termination. Appointments to a limited service position have permanent classified status (with limited layoff rights) after successful completion of entrance probation and shall receive, no later than the date of hire, a written agreement describing the non-career nature of the job and the duration of employment. Updated agreements are required every two (2) years.

Responsibilities:
Develop, coordinate and/or provide education and training sessions on all components needed to implement Parents as Teachers program.
Conduct family assessments to determine needs.
Provide health education during home visits.
Introduce evidence-based quality improvement strategies within program.
Develop community partnerships.
Assess community needs, and provide program education and community outreach based on needs assessment.
Develop program evaluation, and identifies areas for improvement.
Supervise program staff.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Good knowledge of:
Public health education principles and practices to include needs assessment, information dissemination and community organization relating to common health problems
Basic disease etiologies and preventive strategies
Survey methods and basic statistics used to collect and interpret data
Training methods

Experience:
Developing or reviewing, and evaluating health-related informational material
Developing, implementing, and evaluating public health education programs
The Ideal Candidate will have:
Experience with Health Education, community organization, and quality improvement
Strong communication skills
Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English and Spanish
Knowledge and experience actively managing performance of staff

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
