The Mission of the Idaho Department of Correction is to promote a safer Idaho by reducing recidivism.
The Bureau of Education, Treatment, and Reentry with the Idaho Department of Correction (IDOC) currently has an opening for Clinical Supervisor in Eastern Idaho at the Pocatello Women's Correctional Center (PWCC). This incumbent in this position will also provide periodic support to treatment staff in the local district offices. Clinical Supervisors provide clinical oversight related to the design, development, implementation, and ongoing delivery of clinical services within the facilities. The incumbent will work with both institutions and community corrections to standardize and improve core program delivery of clinical services. The work requires periods of travel and willingness to work non-traditional hours, including on-call at the correctional institutions.

Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise and advice to management, treatment staff, and treatment services teams in the professional delivery of clinical and treatment services
Provide input and consultation on program design and direction
Provide direction to specialized clinical/rehabilitative services and delivery
Organize and participate with groups to develop support and service partnerships and expanded community options
Ensure quality by monitoring, assessing, and inspecting the consistency and proficiency of program delivery in IDOC facilities and district offices
Develop, maintain, support and mentor relationships with treatment staff, other program delivery staff, and key personnel at facilities and jails
Perform periodic audits of clinical services delivered at IDOC facilities and district offices
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Master's degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychosocial rehabilitation counseling, psychiatric nursing, or very closely related field of study
Some knowledge of supervisory practices
Some knowledge of community organization/development principles and processes
Experience providing social/treatment services in correctional, institutional, clinical and/or community-based setting
Experience providing in-service skills training to professional staff
SPECIALTY QUALIFICATION:
Possession of a current Idaho license, with a clinical endorsement (LCSW, LCPC or LMFT) in respective field or license eligibility within 90 days of hire
Willing to work non-traditional hours in a Correctional Facility providing program facilitation and case management services to offenders
DESIRABLE
Qualifications:
Currently a registered supervisor per the Idaho Bureau of Occupational licenses in respective field
Preferred candidates will have two (2) years of experience providing clinical oversight of staff and treatment programs
Candidates possessing a current CADC (Certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor) in addition to their professional licensure
Prior experience involving quality assurance and/or auditing service delivery systems
HIRING INFORMATION:
To be hired, candidates will have a history and background supportive of department mission goals and will be subject to:
Completing a Background Investigation Questionnaire and pre-employment drug testing
Having a federal and state criminal background check to include fingerprints
Having a history of law-abiding behavior
Felonies, misdemeanors, illegal drug usage, DUI's, adverse driving convictions and employment history may make you ineligible for employment
Non-hiring restrictions are in place for candidates who:
Have been convicted of Domestic Violence or similar types of violent behaviors
Have a dishonorable discharge from military service
Currently are using, dealing or are associated with illegal drugs
Have close friends or relatives under IDOC care & custody
Are currently under IDOC supervision or probation (must be released from IDOC supervision or probation for at least one year)
EXAMINATION:
You will receive a score based on your education, training, and experience. A minimum score of 63 is required to pass the exam for this position. Notification of your test results will be available online when the exam review process has been completed.
